Piano Mat

  • A Musical Touch

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Fun, Educational

The 1-year-old girl in your life will smile big when she touches this piano mat, made for teaching music sounds to little ones. Whether she touches the mat with her hands or crawls on the mat, her touch will create eight different instrument sounds for her to hear and react to, plus the mat can adjust to add a light feature which will engage her even more to learn coordination and expand her musical-listening skills.

User Experience

I was pleasantly surprised at how much my son enjoyed this play piano, with its easy-to-press buttons and foldability, it kept him engaged for hours. Despite needing to occasionally reset it manually, this play piano's volume control and toddler-friendly design made it a hit during my granddaughter's first Christmas.

Pink Princess Tent

  • Leisure In Pink

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Fun, Games

Give your little 1-year-old princess her own princess tent on her 1st birthday or beyond. The girly pink tent is ideal for young toddlers to crawl around in, whether indoors or out, and the tent can easily be filled up with toys or turn into a ball pit with the addition of colorful balls to the inside. You can see her all the time through the transparent sides or the sunroof.

Personal Perspective

Definitely, this play tent is a vibrant and ample space that my little one absolutely adores. It's fascinating to see her explore, crawl around, and interact with the environment within it - of course, always under watchful eyes. While it's a breeze to set up and take down, it does require a bit of extra work in terms of adding comfort - I've found that adding blankets and toys inside creates a more inviting and safe space. It also pairs nicely with pit balls; however, be prepared for some clean-up duties as these can get scattered around. On the flip side, its structural integrity could use some improvements as it doesn't stay up very easily. Despite this, with a few tweaks and added cushioning at the bottom, this play tent becomes a delightful addition to my child's playtime.

Whack And Learn Mole

  • A Mole That Teaches

  • $$$$$
  • Toys, Activity, Cute

This adorable little mole is the perfect fella to keep the 1-year-old girl you know company as she learns, plays, and grows. When he turns red, she can give him a whack, which will help develop her motor skills. This mole also contains activities centering around the alphabet, numbers, games, and music. He can even turn into a nightlight at bedtime so he can watch over her while she rests.

Community Feedback

I've found this toy to be a delightful blend of fun and learning, much to the joy of my young son. Its educational features, such as color recognition and number learning, have been a hit, although the speaker's location at the bottom sometimes muffles the sound on carpeted surfaces. The music feature, which continues a song even when interrupted, is a particular favorite of my one-year-old. Despite concerns over the material feeling slightly cheap, this toy has proven itself to be impressively sturdy, surviving numerous falls without damage.

Personalized 1st Birthday Book

  • Welcome For Toddlers

  • $$$$$
  • Books, Birthday, Fun

This sweet birthday book is perfect for the 1st birthday of a new toddler near you. The book can be personalized to feature her name in the title and dedication page, plus her gender, birthdate, and your name as the giver. Her name even features in the story of a group of cute animals who want to go to her first birthday party. She’ll love the story and being involved in her own gift.

First-Hand Impression

When I first opened this book, the quality of the thick cardboard pages really stood out, as did the delightful little story that had personalized details like the child's name and birthdate. I found it to be an endearing, unforgettable keepsake that added a personal touch to my gift, made even more special by amazing illustrations and a storyline that any child would love.

Wooden Activity Cube

  • A Cube For Learning

  • $$$$$
  • Educational, Set, Activity

This educational activity cube will keep the 1-year-old girl in your life busy for hours at a time. The wooden cube set contains many different activities to aid in her early development, like sorting shapes, an abacus, a learning clock, and many more. The best kind of gifts for 1-year-old baby girls entertain as well as educate, and this all-in-one cube has it all.

User Experience

My experience with this toy has been quite satisfying as it quickly became a daily plaything for my little one. This toy not only provides fun but is also a good tool to engage her and teach new things. Interestingly, the stacking cups that came along with this toy were a huge hit too!

Learning Walker

  • Learning To Walk

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Educational, Toys

This learning walker will not only help a 1-year-old girl begin her journey to walking, but also teach her while she is doing so. From piano keys that play music and lights with which she can work on her motor skills, this walker has everything she might need to develop different parts of her brain, personality, and body. She can also try to talk and sing with more than 70 different songs and sounds.

Personal Perspective

I'm truly impressed by this walker's dual utility, serving not only as a sturdy support for my little one's shaky first steps, but also as an interactive play center that keeps him engrossed for hours. The removable front toy, replete with engaging lights and sounds, is a clever feature that allows my older child to join in the fun, making this walker a big hit in our bustling household.

Panda Bike

  • A Training Ride

  • $$$$$
  • Cute, Activity, Fun

The most adorable panda she could imagine will make the best gift for your favorite 1-year-old girl in bike form. The no-pedal bike works great for toddlers of 12 months, so they can safely learn about balance and movement. She can even make the eyes of the panda move as she turns the handle bar from side to side, so he will go everywhere she does.

Community Feedback

When I first gave this balance bike to my young son, his interest was immediate and has only grown since. Despite a minor gripe about the non-adjustable seat height and the handle to frame connection, the simplicity of the assembly process, and the sheer joy it brings to my child as he zooms around, make this balance bike a worthwhile purchase.

Baby Music Toys Set

  • Her Private Orchestra

  • $$$$$
  • Set, Educational, Toys

This magical set of popular musical instruments will bring an early appreciation and skill into the life of a 1-year-old girl. Whatever her musical mood that day, toddler girls can have the best time choosing among so many instruments, from tambourine and castanets to xylophone and triangle. The set makes a thoughtful musical Christmas gift and will enrich the soul of the toddler you love most.

First-Hand Impression

I'm quite thrilled by the durability and charm of this musical set, especially with its wooden construction which appeals to both the kids and adults. The bright colors and diverse sound effects are a hit with the little ones, keeping them entertained during car rides and playtime. However, though it's marketed for toddlers, the packaging suggests it's more suitable for children aged 3+, so it's best to let parents decide its appropriateness for younger tots.

Elephant Wall Art

  • An Elephant Above

  • $$$$$
  • Fun, Cute, Birthday

This darling baby elephant will watch over the 1-year-old girl you know in her nursery and set the mood for a safe, loving environment. Made of wood, he hangs up on the wall and features the phrase “Sweet Dreams Little Love.” She’ll love looking up at him and enjoy his companionship during sleep, nap, or playtime.

Sherpa Booties

  • Warm Toes

  • $$$$$
  • Cute, Clothing, Set

The 1-year-old girl you know will love wearing these toasty sherpa booties on her feet. They are soft-cushioned with a fleece lining and will keep her from slipping as well. The set of cute booties makes a unique birthday gift for toddler girls who want to go everywhere at once, but need some warmth to safely get them there.

Personal Perspective

For my little one, these booties have been a consistent favorite. They're easy to put on, stay on well, and have soft soles with grippy strips for comfort and safety. Not only do they keep my child's feet warm, but they're also stylish and versatile, pairing well with almost any outfit. I particularly appreciate that they accommodate a wide range of foot sizes, proving to be a practical choice as my child grows.

Light Up Touch Tablet

  • Her First Tablet

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Educational, Fun

You can be the person who gives the 1-year-old girl you know, her very first light up touch tablet for education and play. The swipe and tap screen will be easy for her to use as she navigates “apps” that have so much to show her. From numbers and letters to shapes and songs, her activity time will be filled up with loads of fun stuff to explore and learn.

Community Feedback

I'm impressed by the way this toy keeps my little one engaged for long periods, thanks to its vibrant lights and interactive buttons. It's not just a source of entertainment - it's a learning tool that even taught my child how to use their fingers more effectively. My only gripe is that I wish the screen was a bit larger and offered more interactivity, but these are minor issues considering its overall success in capturing my child's attention and curiosity.

Stories For 1-Year-Olds

  • Toddler Tales

  • $$$$$
  • Books, Educational, Activity

Toddler girls will get excited to have the special stories in this book for 1-year-olds read to them. The anthology includes short stories, poems, and verse to work some early literary magic into their ears and their imaginations. The book will find its place in her new book collection that will grow with age and time.

First-Hand Impression

I bought this book when my daughter was turning one and she's still enthralled with the stories now that she's nearly two. The colorful pages and touchable textures keep her engaged, although I've learned to supervise closely since the pages aren't quite toddler-proof. While a few of the stories aren't quite right for her age, it's a high-quality and durable anthology that I'm sure will continue to be a hit as she grows.

1st Birthday Outfit

  • 1st Birthday Girls Go Wild

  • $$$$$
  • Clothing, Birthday, Cute

The fun 1-year-old girl in your life will love wearing this outfit for her 1st birthday party. The outfit features a floral design on a tutu-style skirt and leggings combo, a top that reads “Wild One,” and a matching floral headband. She’ll be the life of the party and still be able to wear this cute outfit any day she wants to.

User Experience

This baby outfit initially charmed me with its adorable design and good quality, but after one wash, I discovered the fabric easily pills and becomes fuzzy. The cotton onesie ran slightly larger than other 12-month sizes we own, while the polyester pants were overly long and lacked stretch, causing discomfort for my little one. The outfit also included a bow, which unfortunately didn't arrive pre-tied, making it a bit of a challenge to get just right. Despite these issues, the outfit was overall fitting perfectly and I found the shirt to be soft and the shorts to have a pleasing silky feel, enhancing the outfit's overall charm.

Pretty Party Playset

  • An Imagination In The Kitchen

  • $$$$$
  • Set, Activity, Educational

Get your favorite 1-year-old girl her own kitchen playset so she can grow accustomed to the world of food and drink. The pretend play set has a pitcher of lemonade with a smile, matching cups, and a selection of sweets that she can serve to her “guests.” She can also listen to and learn over 70 sounds, songs, and phrases that will teach her while providing a great time with a little girl tea party.

Personal Perspective

My experience with this party play set has been nothing short of delightful. I've observed my niece avidly engaging with the set, pulling off treats and attempting to put them back, which not only provides entertainment but also aids in her development. The sound feature, which can be conveniently turned on and off, adds an additional layer of fun. I appreciate the set's dual function as a colourful, easy-to-hold toy and an educational tool for teaching shapes and words. This party play set, with its versatility and appeal, has been a hit not only with my niece but with other little girls as well.

Musical Duck Toy

  • Rubber Duckie Is So Much Fun

  • $$$$$
  • Toys, Educational, Cute

This cute duck toy will offer so much to the 1-year-old girl you cherish most. He is a cognition expert and, by looking at him, touching him, and interacting with him, her development will get more than underway. She’ll love his musical sounds and skills and enjoy learning with him as he sings and dances for her. From his quacks to his heartbeat, this ducky will be her good friend for a long time.

Community Feedback

From the moment this toy arrived, it became an instant hit in our household. As it dances and moves around the floor, it captivates not only the little ones but also the adults. It's certainly an engaging and interactive play companion for my baby, who is utterly fascinated by its cute expressions and tunes. The quality of this toy is exceptional, surviving drops, kicks, and other rough play quite admirably. Though some of the music choices, like the bagpipes, may seem peculiar, they don't detract from the overall entertainment value this toy offers.

Wooden Animal Puzzle

  • The Cutest Puzzles

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Educational, Set

This four-piece puzzle set will capture the imagination of 1-year-old girls. The animal designs on each piece will attract her attention and their vivid colors will keep it as she plays with them. Her mind will be enriched by the challenges of the puzzles and her sense of wonder will be elevated because the puzzles center around these lovable animals.

First-Hand Impression

My experience with this puzzle has been nothing short of delightful, as it seems perfectly tailored for young hands. The bright, sturdy pieces not only caught the eye of my 15-month-old grandson but also proved easy for him to manipulate and assemble. It's heartening to see him and his peers, who are around the same age, work out the puzzle together, a testament to its engaging and age-appropriate design.

User Experience

For me, this gift box has been a delightful solution when it comes to engaging my one-year-old. The variety of activities and sturdy, good-quality toys it contains present a plethora of play options, and the books are short and sweet, perfect for little ones who love to play with pages.

Bathtub Toys Set

  • Bath Time Swimming Fun

  • $$$$$
  • Set, Fun, Cute

Bring some activity to the bath time of a 1-year-old girl you care about with this set of adorable bathtub toys. The three-piece set of colorful fishes just need to be wound. Then, just place them in the water and watch them go. They’ll swim across the tub and bring laughter and joy to the toddler who is having her bath time. She’ll love having a bath with these three friends in there with her.

Personal Perspective

Definitely, these bath toys brought a splash of joy to my kids' bath time, with their vibrant colors and playful design. However, over a few uses, I noticed that their functionality deteriorated, making their longevity a concern. Despite this shortcoming, their inexpensive nature and ability to captivate my kids' attention still make these toys a decent inclusion to any bath time routine.

Bubble Machine Toy

  • Horsey Bubbles Galore

  • $$$$$
  • Toys, Activity, Fun

The girliest toddlers will appreciate the pretty pink horse that carries bubbles in her mouth with this bubble machine toy for girls. 1-year-olds can easily use the horse with a handle like a lawn mower and push the toy around as she learns to walk. The horse will emit loads of fun bubbles so, whether she’s crawling or walking, she can enjoy the whimsical world of bubbles all around her wherever she goes.

Community Feedback

My experience with this toy was a bit mixed. On one hand, it's quite small and light, making it easy for even a two-year-old to carry around, much to the delight of my niece. However, this also means it's too delicate to function as a balanced walking aid for younger toddlers, contrary to the advertising. Additionally, despite its small size, the toy was easy to assemble and worked well, although it did break after a few days of use.

Purse Playset

  • A Purse To Explore

  • $$$$$
  • Set, Activity, Fun

Give your favorite 1-year-old girl her very first purse (in pink, of course). The cozy, soft purse set includes the purse, a credit card, a cell phone, compact, and keys. Some accessories are crinkly and some are plush. The cell phone works as a sound toy, so she can play with the items and begin to learn more about their shape, sound, and function.

First-Hand Impression

Bought this Baby My First Sports Bag Stuffed Plush Playset for my one-year-old grandson. The colorful, plush pieces are the perfect size for his little hands and the crinkly sounds they make keep him entertained for hours. The soccer ball's squeaker feature is his favorite, he just loves the noise it makes when he kicks it. The baseball bat is safe and soft, easy for him to toss around. The bag is easy for him to carry and it's great for storing all the pieces. This sports bag playset is not only fun, but it also helps him develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

1st Birthday Bib

  • For Birthday Cake Time

  • $$$$$
  • Birthday, Clothing, Cute

Celebrate the first birthday of a cute toddler girl by giving her this special 1st birthday bib that she can wear when she eats her birthday cake. The soft texture of the inner layer, the vibrant fun design and the sparkly number “1” will all serve her well on her very special birthday. She can get as hands-on with the birthday cake as she wants with this pretty protective bib around.

User Experience

My experience with this birthday bib was delightful, it was both practical and adorable. The pink and gold theme perfectly complimented my daughter's birthday outfit, and the soft lining provided extra comfort while the front sparkled with festive charm. It held up beautifully, even after dealing with the inevitable cake mess, and the quality of the bib suggests it will last for many more celebrations. Just a small note – the color is a vibrant hot pink, not the soft hue shown in the pictures, but it ended up adding to the charm of the occasion.

Fisher Price Musical Mirror

  • Mirror, Mirror Musical

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Fun, Educational

The 1-year-old girl in your life will adore playing and learning with this Fisher Price musical mirror. The mirror sits on a tabletop and includes lots of tools for role play, including a comb, lipstick, bracelet, and powder puff. She can get herself ready for an important “appointment” while enjoying tons of sing-alongs and phrases to teach her even more about activities in which she can take part.

Personal Perspective

I've been pleasantly surprised by this toy. Despite its smaller size, it's been a huge hit with my 2-year-old and even the 4-year-old can't resist its charm. This toy vanity, complete with lights and music, is both sturdy and adorable, even surviving my granddaughter's attempt to use it as a step stool. The mirror isn't made of glass, which makes it safer for the little ones. It's so cute watching my daughter carry the whole mirror around, giving it kisses, and thoroughly enjoying her reflection.

2-In-1 Convertible Sofa Lounger

  • Comfort Central

  • $$$$$
  • Cute, Fun

This 2-in-1 convertible sofa lounger will provide plenty of comfort to a 1-year-old girl you know. She can enjoy the supportive foam while she sits back and listens to stories, plays with toys, or takes a nap. The lounger setting provides further comfort safely located near the bedroom floor. She will love this cute, useful addition to her bedroom or playroom furniture.

Community Feedback

This toddler couch has been a hit in our home, providing a fun, lightweight place for my little one to play, read, and even nap. Assembling it was a bit of a task as the foam inserts arrived flat and required some time to regain their shape. Moreover, figuring out the order of the cushions when putting them together after washing the cover can be a bit tricky. The overall construction is robust and it's easy to transform into a chair, adding to its versatility. However, some additional support in the foot panel area could offer more stability for when the tot decides to tread on it.

Crown Teether

  • A Little Girl’s Crown

  • $$$$$
  • Toys, Cute, Fun

The next time the 1-year-old girl you love most is in teething mode, you can offer her this cute teether in the shape of a crown. Her growing teeth will enjoy the ridges of this crown just as much as her head would. The movable teether will ease her growing pains and stand out in any collection of toddler teethers due to its regal charms.

First-Hand Impression

In my experience, this teether has been a real hit with my baby. It's easy for her to grip and she can even wear it as a bracelet, adding a fun element to its functionality. One unique feature is the varying textures on the crown, providing a range of sensations for her gums. However, due to its sticky nature, it does attract fuzz, so frequent washing is needed to keep it clean.

Woodland Toddler Bedding Set

  • A Nap In The Forest

  • $$$$$
  • Set, Cute, Fun

Bring some woodland magic to the nursery or bedroom of a deserving 1-year-old girl with a beautiful bedding set. This beautiful bedding set features a forest design filled with cute creatures like deer, bunnies, foxes, and bears. The five-piece set has a comforter, a set of sheets, a pillowcase, and a pillow sham. She’ll have all the forest whimsy she needs to take the best nap ever.

As she spins the wheel, she improves her hand-eye coordination and is encouraged by the light-up features, along with the accompanying colors, shapes, sounds, and songs. Personal Perspective

My experience with this toy has been quite pleasing as it's proven to be sturdy, captivating for little ones, and surprisingly versatile with its volume control feature - a boon during those times when you need some quiet. The vibrant colors, lights, and intriguing sounds keep my nephew engaged, and it's interesting to see him frequently pick this toy from his collection, even after months of use. With its ability to teach shapes, colors, and moods through delightful songs and three learning modes, this toy not only offers fun but also an educational experience that grows with the child.

Starry Sky/Ocean Night Light Projector

  • Projecting Her Night Sky

  • $$$$$
  • Birthday, Cute, Fun

Bring the magical worlds of the night sky and the underwater kingdoms into the bedroom of the sleeping 1-year-old girl in your life with a nightlight projector. This dual projector sends the whimsical stars and moons in a night sky or underwater creatures from the sea over the ceiling and walls of her room. You can switch the projector to nightlight mode to softly light her room while she naps or sleeps.

Community Feedback

I've found this nightlight to be a delightful, albeit imperfect, addition to bedtime routine - despite its slightly fuzzy images and short USB cable, the joy it brings to my grandson is undeniable. While the battery life is short-lived and the device can be frustratingly sensitive when touched, the charm of the rotating fish projections compensates for these shortcomings, making it a hit with the kids.

Drum Set

  • Hitting The Sticks

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Fun, Set

This drum set is nothing short of awesome and is a leading example of toys for 1-year-old girls that think out of the box (when the box is pretty, pink, and girly). Toddler girls won’t be able to get their hands on these drumsticks fast enough. She can learn various songs and sounds while playing along to multiple sound effects and rhythms, which will all lay the groundwork for a childhood of music appreciation.

First-Hand Impression

I'm quite pleased with this drum set; it's been a hit with both my younger and older children. The assembly is a breeze, and the volume control is a feature I find quite handy. Each drum has a unique sound and lights up, which keeps the little ones entertained, and the included microphone adds another layer of fun. However, while the drum set is an instant favourite, it's worth noting that the foam ends of the drumsticks can come off easily, and the drum set itself isn't as stable as I would prefer.

  • #1 Doll In Her World

  • $$$$$
  • Toys, Cute, Fun

This sweet dolly is ideal for a 1-year-old girl’s first doll. She is made of the softest plush material and cleans up easily if she gets messy when playing with your toddler. She’ll love how easy it is to squeeze this dolly and have fun role-playing with her as mommy and more. This doll will be the very first in a long line of dolls and will capture a special place in her heart.

User Experience

If you're on the hunt for a huggable, soft doll that's larger than the typical ones, this doll might just tick all your boxes. As someone who gifted it to a young girl, I was pleasantly surprised by how much she loved it - it's perfect for little arms to wrap around for a cozy hug. Although the doll required a minor sewing fix on one eye, overall, it's a quality product that even seems to charm the parents!

The sturdy blocks, with their vibrant colors, not only foster creativity but are also easy to clean and store, making them a practical choice for any household.

  • Musicals At Bedtime

  • $$$$$
  • Books, Educational, Fun

She can work on her language skills while the nursery rhyme songs play. The stories in the songs will also ease her mood after her day is done and help get her to sleep comfortably and easily.

First-Hand Impression

Love the interactive nature of these musical books; my little one is absolutely fascinated by the ability to control the music with a simple touch. The illustrations aren't my favorite, but that doesn't seem to bother my child who is delighted by the melodies, even though a couple of pages don't have lyrics. The batteries are a bit pricey and don't last as long as I'd like with daily use, but it's a small price to pay for the joy this book brings to my child.

Baby Cloths Book Set

  • A Little Light Bath Reading

Personal Perspective

I recently got this backyard splash pad for a few of the young ones in my life, and they've been having a ball with it. It's a larger size than I originally anticipated, but it's turned out to be perfect for two toddlers to comfortably play and cool off in. However, do note that the water spray pattern might need some adjusting as it might not fill the pool area as expected.

Best drum set I've ever gotten for my three-year-old niece! She's obsessed with it, it's like it was made just for her tiny hands. The vibrant, durable blocks I got for my grandbaby are equally impressive, they're like emojis that squeak softly and are fantastic for learning through play. My one-year-old girl is also a big fan, recognizing the animal patterns and expressions, and she is very interested in trying to put them together.

Safari Stuffed Animals Set

  • A Mini Zoo

  • $$$$$
  • Set, Toys, Cute

Take your favorite 1-year-old girl to the jungle without ever leaving home. This cute safari stuffed animal set contains four different soft plush toys. The jungle house includes a monkey, a lion, a tiger, and an elephant that all make their proper jungle sounds. All she needs to do is give them a squeeze and learn about the noises that they make. Her menagerie of animal friends will make good company as she grows.

User Experience

I found these animal toys to be adorable and well-crafted, with clear, pleasant sounds that aren't overwhelmingly loud. Despite some minor issues like one of the animals' paws being slightly off and the toy's carrying case showing signs of gentle usage, the overall quality and durability impressed me. My young relatives, ranging from infants to toddlers, enjoyed the toy immensely, especially the interactive element of placing the animals in and out of their little house. Even my teacup yorkie had a blast playing with these soft toys without causing any damage, proving their resilience.

1st Birthday Tutu Dress

  • Tutu Lovers Come Together

  • $$$$$
  • Clothing, Set, Birthday

Make her first birthday party even more festive when you give the 1-year-old birthday girl this bright, floral-styled two-piece outfit. The set consists of a black onesie with a “One” design, along with a yellow tutu skirt and a headband featuring matching flowers. She’ll look like the cutest little flower princess at her celebration thanks to you.

Personal Perspective

For a sunflower-themed first birthday, this outfit is a total hit. The vibrant yellow is not mustard-like, but brighter than expected, and really stands out. The outfit, complete with a headband, garnered a ton of compliments, making it a crowd favorite. However, my niece found the entire ensemble a bit uncomfortable, despite its undeniable cuteness. The onesie and tutu have stood up to multiple uses and washes, although the headband design is a bit off.

Plush Elephant Character Chair

Personalized Two Name Puzzle

  • What’s In A Name

  • $$$$$
  • Games, Activity, Fun

This top personalized puzzle is ideal for 1-year-old girls who can learn their name a fun and entertaining way—with a puzzle. The multicolored block letter puzzle spells out her full name (first and last or first and middle), and she can practice putting the letter together to form a wonderful birthday keepsake for her room.

First-Hand Impression

As a customer, I was thoroughly impressed with this name puzzle's high-quality craftsmanship and vibrant colors. This puzzle not only offers a fun and engaging way for children to learn colors and letters, but also serves as a personalized room decoration. Although there was a minor issue with the knobs not staying in well, a little wood glue easily rectified this problem, and I still found the puzzle to be a great value for the money.

Fisher-Price Activity Center

  • Spinning For Fun

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Educational, Fun

As the baby in your life becomes a 1-year-old toddler, you can ease her into her new age with this Fisher-Price activity center. The seat spins so she can play with four different areas in front of her. The activities include stacking cubes, animal shapes, and more. Once she’s had enough of one set of tasks, she can move over and keep playing her heart out.

User Experience

Excellent, this play set has been a fantastic addition for my infant who's mastering sitting and standing. The playful attachments and the potential to convert into a play table make it both engaging and versatile, although I found it a bit bulky for storage. While it's heavier than I initially expected, the sturdiness and the fun my baby has with it make up for this minor drawback.

Hooded Sleeper Robe

  • Comfort For Toddlers

  • $$$$$
  • Clothing, Cute, Fun

When your 1-year-old girl gets out of the bath, she needs to warm up fast, which she can with this cute hooded robe. From my two-year-old daughter's delight in its softness on chilly evenings to my one-year-old granddaughter's comfort in its slightly baggy fit, this robe has proven to be a warm, durable, and adorable addition to their wardrobes. Despite multiple washes, it has retained its plushness, making it a reliable choice for those seeking a blend of cuteness and practicality.

Grip Socks Set

  • Socks Were Made For Walking

  • $$$$$
  • Set, Clothing, Cute

Give the little 1-year-old girl who is learning to walk this set of grippy socks to keep her safe until she figures it out. The set of six pairs of socks are non-slip and feature an elastic strap over her ankle so they won’t come off after any overly energetic play. The festive colors will draw her eye and stay on her feet until she’s totally upright.

First-Hand Impression

When I first purchased these socks for my toddler, I was immediately impressed by the vibrant colors and the effective grip on the bottom, which provided a safer walking experience for her on hardwood floors. Despite their aesthetic appeal and initial functionality, I noticed that the socks' durability was questionable, as the straps tended to break and the non-skid dots started to peel off after a short period of use. Nevertheless, the fact that they stayed on my child's feet well, and seemed to give her a sense of confidence and joy while walking, made these socks a somewhat satisfactory purchase overall.

Interactive Pop Up Animals Toy

  • Pop-Up Animal Farm

  • $$$$$
  • Toys, Educational, Games

These pop-up animals will help your favorite 1-year-old girl learn about basic tactile functions with its buttons and knobs that bring up the cutest animals with accompanying music and/or light and pop them back down again. She can even play a game where she pops up a certain animal as she follows the moving light. Her sensory skills will get a workout and she’ll giggle from the fun activity too.

User Experience

If your goal is to stimulate a young one's motor skills, this toy delivers. It's a one-piece construction, each knob turning differently, which encourages kids to think and solve how to operate each one. I've observed my own child and others engage with it for extended periods, seemingly entranced by the funny sounds and pleasant music. The toy's simplicity is deceiving, it's a hit among infants and adults alike, making it a great addition to family gatherings.

First Coloring Book

  • Color In The Lines

  • $$$$$
  • Books, Activity, Educational

Gift ideas for 1-year-old girls are made super special because they often incorporate firsts, like this coloring book. The easy-to-color shapes in the book will keep her busy with her crayons. Not only will she be acquainted with hands-on coordination, but also with a new vocabulary and how to pronounce the words. The book will serve a multi-layer educational purpose and remain her first coloring book too.

Personal Perspective

For a young artist in the making, this coloring book truly shines with its high-quality paper that brilliantly shows off the colors from crayons and other mediums. The simple, relatable images captivate little ones, making coloring a joyous activity, while the slightly transparent pages offer an added bonus of tracing the next image, perfect for those tiny hands still mastering their strokes.

1st Birthday Bracelet

  • 1st Birthday Keepsake

  • $$$$$
  • Birthday, Cute, Fun

Get the 1-year-old girl you love one of her very first keepsakes with this pretty 1st birthday bracelet. The bracelet features silver beads, pink pearls and has a charm number “1” to reflect her special 1st birthday. The bracelet can also be extended, which will keep it on her wrist as she grows from baby to toddler and beyond.

Community Feedback

In my experience, this keepsake bracelet is a mixed bag. On one hand, it's undeniably beautiful and seems to be adored by the little ones, sparking joy at birthday parties and promising to become a cherished memento in the future. On the flip side, the bracelet's quality doesn't quite match its aesthetic appeal, with a lack of sterling silver markings and a cheaper feel than expected.

Play Tent & Tunnel

  • A Playset For The Ages

  • $$$$$
  • Activity, Fun, Toys

Why waste time with one play tent when you can give a growing 1-year-old toddler her own multifaceted play tent and tunnel. The playset features different shaped tents and tunnels that she can power through, a dart wall with stick-on balls, and an open area that is perfect for adding a ball pit. The colors will mesmerize her and she’ll get all her energy out while having the best time.

First-Hand Impression

My experience with this playset has been largely positive, as it's quite large and has proven to be fairly durable, surviving weeks of use by my toddler and our two cats. However, it's worth noting that while easy to assemble, the playset isn't very sturdy and its "connectors" could be improved, as the plastic bars frequently fall out of the hoops, especially during vigorous play.

Carrot Learning Game

  • The Match Game

  • $$$$$
  • Games, Educational, Activity

Use the power of carrots to educate 1-year-old girls with this cool learning game. The wooden base comes with seven different sizes of carrots that she can “plant” in the proper holes. The activity improves her motor skills and ability to see and recognize shapes. Plus, she’ll love planting and harvesting her carrot farm just as much.

User Experience

Definitely a charming and durable toy, this wooden playset captivated my granddaughter instantly with its vibrant, removable carrots. From personal experience, it's been a joy to watch as she carried them around and tried to fit them into their respective holes - a fun way to stimulate her problem-solving skills. However, I advise caution as the smallest carrots could potentially pose a choking hazard for younger ones, and the green leaves may get chewed off.

Musical Flashlight Toy

  • Company At Night

  • $$$$$
  • Toys, Fun, Games

When the 1-year-old girl you know is scared to go to bed, you can give her this musical flashlight toy as a bed buddy. The colorful toy has multiple functions as a flashlight, a projector, and music tracks. The music includes songs, lullabies, and sound effects. She can play with the different functions and drift off to sleep with a soothing nightlight by her side.

Personal Perspective

I got this flashlight toy that talks and sings, but not in English though. My kids, especially my daughter, were initially drawn to it, but soon got bored with the zebra image which unfortunately doesn't change. This flashlight isn't overly bright, making it perfect for my daughter who loves staring into it, but I limit that to a few minutes at a time. After three months, it's mostly used off mode and serves primarily as a toy for my child to throw around and practice her grip. One downside is that the middle lullaby button doesn't work and the songs are in a foreign language, possibly Chinese, and it feels a bit cheaply made.

1-Year-Old Girl FAQs

What Does Every 1-Year-Old Need?

When babies turn 1, they move into the wonderful, sometimes crazy world of being a toddler. Their needs change and so should what you give them to wear, play with, and learn from. You might want to move from onesies to comfortable two-piece clothing. She’ll need a booster seat at the kitchen table instead of a high chair and may need bendable utensils as her eating habits progress. You may want to upgrade playpens to a washable activity mat and start thinking about different books meant for toddlers so the learning can begin.

What Should You Not Give a 1-Year-Old?

Choking hazards are a big risk at 1-year-old, and food is typically the most responsible for choking in young toddlers. You should make sure to avoid anything in larger chunks that make it more difficult to chew, like hot dogs or certain meats and cheeses. Anything too sticky like gum or hard like candy should not be fed to 1-year-olds as they can also struggle there. Also, hard vegetables that may seem healthy might be too much for their baby teeth to navigate, so save the harder stuff for their later years of development. Toys should not include small pieces that they can put in their mouths and you also want to avoid toys with sharp corners while they are still finding their feet.
