Some people like to decorate their homes in a way that makes it look like a contemporary art museum. Other people like to see their own quirkiness reflected in their home decor. These dishtowels are definitely meant for the latter of those two groups, and their punny one-liners will be perfectly at home in some silly person’s kitchen.
This set comes with four towels, each with a different clever design that your funny friends will love. These bags compress into an adorable fruit shape, making it easy for the recipient to toss a few of these in their purse or car console. Plus, each bag is strong enough to hold up to 20 lbs of groceries, which is roughly the same as 20 standard-sized packs of Oreos, just so you know.

The gift set includes scrumptious snacks like Chili Con Lemon Pistachios, Glazed Pecans, Salted Cashews, Tamari Almonds, Cranberry Health Mix, and more, all packaged in a reusable wooden crate.
Memory Foam Quick Dry Bathroom Mat
Certain household items tend to end up in the trash during a big move instead of making it into the next dwelling. Bathmats, in particular, tend to get moldy and a bit gross from living in a high humidity area and sometimes are better left behind.
Even if they brought their bathmats with them to their new place, after your friends put their feet on this memory foam option, they’d never want to look at their previous one again. It offers a plush refuge for feet that already miss the warmth and comfort of the shower or bath, and we will gladly take a million of these for ourselves.
Soap Pump And Sponge Caddy Set
If anyone has any secrets for the best soap and sponge storage, we’d love to hear it. Until science dedicates more resources to figuring out a way to store our soggy sponges, we think this duo set could be an excellent upgrade from the usual. The sponge caddy helps drain the sponge of water and prevent molding, which is all we’ve ever wanted.
Decorative Geode Book Ends
These geode bookends are a glamorous way to bring Natural History Museum vibes to any home. Whether you have a friend who is all about that crystal life, a sibling that is easily impressed by cool rocks (guilty as charged over here), or a neighbor who loves unique accent pieces, they’ll love these beautiful bookends.
These rocking bookends will look great holding up their first addition Harry Potter collection or that stack of vintage encyclopedias their parents forced them to take, even though we all carry electronic ones in our pockets these days.
Mulholland Distillery American Whiskey
Are you guys familiar with Walton Goggins? He’s an award-winning southern actor who has had roles in just about every movie and TV show since the early 1990s. He’s also one-half of the incredible dup behind Mulholland Distillery.
This LA-based distillery is named after William Mulholland, the civil engineer who brought water to the California desert town. Now, his namesake brings award-winning artisanal whiskey to the masses.
It is a fun and easy sipping whiskey with an interesting back-story. And now that you know all the fun facts, you’ll know just what to say when your friend unwraps this awesome housewarming gift.
Guacamole and Salsa Serving Dish Sets

Lazy susans and rotating tables have been around for centuries, and we have to admit we love everything about this convenient and, yes, slightly lazy furniture choice.
This lazy susan is even cooler because you can customize it for your best friends! It is handcrafted from reclaimed white oak bourbon barrels and stamped with your chosen names, special date, and location for a completely one-of-a-kind present with unique rustic elegance.
Clase Azul Reposado Tequila
Not only is this bottle full of delicious, top-quality tequila, it also looks like a piece of exquisite art. This is not your usual house tequila at your neighborhood bar, Clase Azul is made from 100% Tequilana Weber Blue Agave and aged for eight months.
Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention that the bottles are hand-made and hand-painted by local artisans from a small village in Mexico, so each bottle truly is a one-of-a-kind piece of art!
Snap N Strain Pot Strainer
Straining pasta can be quite the pain, but this handy little gadget makes it easier for the weak wristed amongst us.
This clever device snaps directly onto the pot to drain all the water with ease. Not to mention, it is roughly a quarter of the size of a traditional strainer, so it could be a thoughtful housewarming gift for those moving into their first place or people dealing with limited storage capacity.

Hamsa Mezze Server
You could try to give your friends a hand with moving, or you could just give them a literal hand, and by “literal hand,” we mean this Hamsa platter.
A hamsa is an ancient symbol that crosses multiple cultures and religions. It is frequently used as a symbol of protection and bringer of good fortune.
We think this gorgeous platter could bring good fortune as a housewarming gift for your friends or loved ones, or at least, they could use it to bring snacks to the table, which is almost the same thing.
Campfire Roasted Coffee
Are you looking for a housewarming gift for friends who would rather be moving into a tent than a walled dwelling? While you could pick them up some camping supplies, they’ll probably need a bit of caffeine to help fuel their unpacking.
This campfire roasted coffee can provide them with all the outdoorsy campfire vibes they’re missing and, hopefully, help them stay energized and focused while they get their new house set up!
Custom Travel Photo Coasters
As your friends set off on their new adventure in their new home, you can help remind them of all of their other adventures with this meaningful and practical gift.

Decorative Extra Soft Fuzzy Faux Fur Throw Blanket
As we mentioned earlier in this article, you really can’t go wrong with giving someone a soft, comfy throw blanket, especially if it looks this luxe and cool!
The throw size is perfect for tossing casually over the back of the chair, while the queen-size would make the coziest addition to the recipient’s bed. It’s available in seven colors and three sizes, but we have to say the standard throw size is surprisingly cheap for a blanket that looks this classy.
Himalayan Salt BBQ Plank
Did anyone else hear about the meme famous Salt Bae opening up his own fancy restaurant? We were probably just as shocked as you are now (not that shocked because the world is so full of strange that this barely registers as important). However, it did get us thinking about salt, which of course, led us to this Himalayan salt barbecue plank.
This unique kitchen accessory can add an impressive element to food presentation and flavor, making it a great housewarming gift choice for a hobby foodie or professional chef.
HiCoup Wine Decanter - 750ml
Classy is the name of the game, and few things are quite as classy as moving your wine from the bottle to another container before you pour it into glasses.
We’re sorry, of course, decanters are there to do more than just make the user look fancy; they aerate the wine or help it “breathe” and can separate sediment from the bottle. And as a bonus, they look super luxurious on a bar cart or in the kitchen.
Personalized Family Tree Serving Bowl
Here is a sentimental housewarming gift idea for a couple, family member, or friend who prefers gifts that are very meaningful.
This beautifully made bowl is perfectly sized and crafted for serving a crowd, but with the beautiful design, the recipient might just want to display it with all their most prized possessions.
You can customize the bowl with the family name of the recipients if you want a thoughtful gift that could make them cry happy tears.
Record Props - Vinyl Record Display
Girl, put that record on! This display set is the perfect choice for your music-obsessed friend who insists that everything sounds better on vinyl.
However, it’s important to remember that their records would look better on display than they’ll ever look in that beat-up milk crate on their floor! We love that it allows you to display both the record sleeve and the record itself for an incredibly unique and artistic display.

Whether they’re moving across the country, around the world, or just to a neighboring state, your friend or loved ones can still get homesick for the comforts of their home state!

No matter how much they managed to downsize before their big move, they probably still have a bunch of miscellaneous stuff with nowhere to put it. Or, at least, nowhere nearly this cute!
This rope basket is a great neutral home addition that could serve a variety of purposes, from covering ugly plastic plant pots to storing buckets of kids’ toys. With so many uses, you can’t go wrong with this classy rope basket as a housewarming gift.
Wine Soaps - Set of 4
If you’re looking for a great housewarming gift idea for a wine-loving couple, but you only ever pick bottles of wine based on how beautiful the label is, you might want to put down the bottle and pick up this pack of soaps.
They’ll love this vino-inspired gift without having to pretend to like the bottle of wine you picked out! This set of four soaps is also perfect housewarming gifts because odds are they didn’t bring those little scraps of soap from their old guest bathroom to their new home.
Iridescent Vase Modern Contemporary Home Decor
This vase is the perfect gift for that couple or friend who has impossibly chic and modern taste.
You know who we’re talking about, that one friend who interned with a luxury fashion house in New York for two years and has never let anyone forget it. The couple that actually reads Architectural Digest magazines and has favorite furniture designers. Or maybe just your sister who is obsessed with all things iridescent and shiny.
We’re dying to be cool enough to have one of these vases in our house, but until then, this is one of our top picks for all your cool friends.

With evergreen trees and everlasting elegance, this treeline wine serving tray is a gorgeous, modern, and classy housewarming gift idea for your rustic-chic friends.

The built-in compartments have space for a 750 ml bottle of wine and four stemmed wine glasses, making it perfect for your favorite happy house companions.
Goose Island – Fall Classics Flight Pack
Many of the items on this list probably feel like they’re for more established, “adulty” adult types. You know, the people who you ask to borrow their shop-vac when your bathroom floods because they’re the type of people who would own a shop-vac.
If you’re looking for the best housewarming gifts for people whose primary furniture is sets of Rubbermaid drawers, you might be better off with a 12-pack of beers. It could be perfect for helping your friends unpack their beer pong table or for their epic housewarming party!
Growlight Frame Shelf
If you’re not familiar with the current urban jungle trend, it beautifully combines all sorts of furniture styles with lush, gorgeous greenery. However, plants require a fair amount of light, which not everyone has in their homes or apartments.
This grow light frame shelf combines two things that plant parents crave—more space for putting plants and plenty of light to help those plants grow! We’ll take 12, please.

Housewarming Gifts FAQs
Are Housewarming Gifts a Thing?
Housewarming gifts are definitely a thing, but that doesn’t mean you have to run out and buy an elaborate gift anytime one of your friends signs a new lease.
Of course, when your friend or loved one buys or rents their first apartment without roommates, their first home, or their forever home, you should commemorate the occasion with a simple but thoughtful gift.
Additionally, if your pal is throwing a housewarming party to celebrate their big move, then giving them a gift would also be appropriate. Housewarming gifts can take many forms, from an easy bottle of wine from the local shop to personalized home accent pieces.
How Much Should I Spend on a Housewarming Gift?
You can find excellent housewarming gifts that fit any budget; however, most people should plan on spending between $20 to $50 on a gift.
If that is beyond your budget, you can always consider going in on a gift with friends or others who want to split the bill on a larger item.
What is the Most Common Housewarming Gift?
There are many common and traditional housewarming gift ideas if you want to stick to popular or classic items.
Some great options are bread, olive oil, wine, and houseplants, each of which comes with traditional blessings. For example, bread is given with the blessings “May your house never know hunger,” while olive oil comes with the blessing “May you be blessed with health and well-being.”
Additionally, wine is given with the blessing “May you always have joy and never go thirsty,” and houseplants come with the blessing “May your home always have life.”
What is a Good Last-Minute Housewarming Gift?
Are you low on time but still want to pick up a unique, useful, and beautiful housewarming gift for your friend, loved ones, or that really cool coworker you want to transition into an out-of-work friendship?
All you have to do is trust in Prime shipping or head to a local shop to pick up something easy and thoughtful, such as a bottle of wine, potted plant or flowers, a gift card, baked goods, picture frame, a box of chocolates, or cooking supplies such as unique spices.
What is a Good Housewarming Gift for a New Neighbor?
Did some cool new neighbors move in down the street, and you want to welcome them to the neighborhood but also scope them out a bit?
The only challenge with finding a great gift for a new neighbor is the fact that you might not know them that well yet! In that case, it might be better to stick to some basics.
Flower arrangements, a gift card to a local coffee shop, homemade baked goods (or homemade by a bakery), hand towels, or kitchen basics such as spices and oils are a safe bet for people you might not know too well. Add a nice card to welcome them, and maybe these new neighbors could also become new friends by the time you’re making Christmas cookies!
Is a Bottle of Wine a Good Housewarming Gift?
A bottle of wine is a great housewarming gift, of course, depending on the recipients’ tastes.
Essentially, we suggest only giving bottles of wine if you are positive that the recipient drinks. But if you two have attended a few happy hours together and knocked back one or two glasses before, then you should absolutely feel confident giving them a bottle of wine.
If you want to take a classic approach, you can even include the traditional blessing, “May you always have joy and never go thirsty,” on the card.
