Star Wars FAQs

What Are Star Wars Fans Called?

Star Wars fans do not have one official nickname the way Star Trek has Trekkies. Most simply go by Star Wars fans. Some deep-cut fans jokingly call themselves Warsies or Nerf Herders, but neither has caught on widely.

What Is the Best Gift for a Star Wars Collector?

The best gifts for a serious Star Wars collector are high-end display pieces: Black Series figures, LEGO Ultimate Collector Series sets, and premium lightsaber replicas from Hasbro or Disney. Limited-edition prints and first-edition books also hold their value and impress fans who already own the basics.

What’s in the Star Wars Mystery Box?

The Star Wars Galaxy Box by Culture Fly is a quarterly subscription box that ships six to eight exclusive items, from apparel and pins to home decor and collectibles. Each box follows a theme tied to a film or series like The Mandalorian or Ahsoka, so the contents change every quarter.

What Should You Not Say to a Star Wars Fan?

Avoid telling a Star Wars fan that the music is boring, that Star Trek is better, or that Jar Jar Binks is the best character. Mixing up the two franchises, like saying Beam me up, Luke, is the fastest way to start an argument.

What Is a Padawan?

A Padawan is a Jedi in training. In the Star Wars universe they are apprentices learning under a Jedi Knight or Master. Fans also use the word affectionately for kids or anyone new to the fandom.

What Is a Female Jedi Called?

A female Jedi is simply called a Jedi. The term is gender-neutral, like pilot or doctor, so there is no separate title such as Jedi Mistress in the official canon.

Is Baby Yoda Actually Yoda?

No, Baby Yoda is not Yoda. The character from The Mandalorian is named Grogu and only shares Yoda’s species, which is why they look alike. The show is set after the original Yoda has died, and fans call him Baby Yoda because his species has no official name.

Our Gift Selection Criteria

How well a gift suits its recipient mattered more than anything else here: Star Wars fans range from toddlers to lifelong collectors, so we weighed each pick against the specific person and occasion it serves. We also judged whether an item still feels current rather than a leftover fad, then read owner reviews and compared options so the final lineup spans budgets, tastes, and gift types instead of repeating the same few ideas. We confirmed every pick is currently available to buy and swapped out anything that had gone out of stock or been discontinued.
